Hi, I’m Matt Mitchell, Co-Founder and CEO of The Event Ledger.

Matt Mitchell brings a rare blend of financial expertise and creative industry experience to The Event Ledger. With over 12 years in the finance world—working closely with ultra high net worth families on wealth and estate planning—he understands the power of strategic, numbers-driven decision making. But his passion for the event world led him to found and run a successful wedding planning company for 8 years, where he experienced firsthand the challenges creatives face behind the scenes.


That dual perspective inspired Matt to co-found The Event Ledger. He saw too many creatives surviving on passion and hustle alone—overworked, underpaid, and overwhelmed by finances. His mission is to help business owners turn their vision into a reality: a thriving business that supports their life, not the other way around.


Matt is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Gusto Payroll Certified, and a Pro Educator with the CWP Society. He’s committed to giving creatives the tools, confidence, and clarity they need to build businesses that last.
